But is she Phanatical ? - when I think "dangerous feminist agendas", Julia Gillard's the first person who comes to mind.
I think that putting an end to Labor factionism is a good idea - and that perhaps Gillard might like to start by helping dissolve the left faction is which would be pretty much be spot on.
As for Gillard, it's hard to know how sincere she is. It would certainly do Gillard good if the party did dissolve the factions, but it'd probably do the Australian people good too.
One of the biggest problems with Federal Labor at the moment is a lack of inspiring talent on the benches - it's kind of sad when Gillard is as exciting as it gets (and I suspect a large part of the reason we're excited by her is because she's a woman, even if that means the media will be more likely to go on about the possible effects of insignificant factors like empty fruit bowls, and hamper her chances of succeeding in the process)
. Sure - John Howard's not exactly a beacon of inspiration either, but at least Abbott and Nelson provide the occasional giggle, and Downer delivered a killer smackdown to Beasley the other day that even I had to give him kudos for.
Tip for Mr Mundine: repeating over and over on national television that the goal of the ALP is to "win elections" isn't going to win you votes. It's just going to make you look like a grubby politician

Spot on Aussie Mundine aggravates me also. Is he trying to tell us something we don't know. Come up with a mandate Mr Mundine, not trashy tactics.
