Better Homes & Gardens Say Wrong Tiles Used on Shuttle
Underage Aussie DIY expert Rob Palmer, from Channel 7’s “Better Homes and Gardens”, says the walls of the Space Shuttle Discovery should have been fully sanded before gluing on the tiles, which fell off during take-off.
He has also written to NASA suggesting they use terracotta tiles and a good impact adhesive, both more suited to the high temperatures. He also recommends a dovetail joint to attach the rocket engines to the main cabin.
Meanwhile Tara recommends easy care acrylic blankets to keep the crew warm as they hang around in space waiting to be rescued. “They are affordable and easy to wash” she says.
While the Discovery heads to the International Space Station, North Korea continues to let off intercontinental ballistic missiles. The missiles are capable of reaching American soil, but the North Koreans have admitted they are not very good shots. They are rumoured to have offered a considerable sum of money to Guus Hiddink to help improve their aim. On hearing the news, half the population of Italy rolled over in pain claiming a missile had hit them.
The UN is yet to make a firm decision on what to do about the North Korean government, although Dr Harry recommends they are neutered before they cause too much trouble.
