Historical Perspective
Most of these "Politically Correct" people who are complaining about the government today weren't even born before the Vietnam War, yet they keep comparing the Gulf and Iraq wars to be similar. A much better comparison would be to compare it to the "Crusades."
Yes, my dear history-deprived generation, they have been killing "infidels" since that time and we have been at war for all of that time. There are many instances in the course of history that are a direct result of Muslim fanaticism. Beginning in our own history with the "Barbary Pirates," right down to the fuss and to-do over the "Infamous Mohammed" drawings. I saw those so-called cartoons, and you can read any paper and see much worse about our own president. They use any excuse to kill people. What other religion condemns a person to death for changing religions? Was Sammy Davis Jr. condemned because he embraced Judaism, or Madonna?
What other religion continues to sanction the terrorists that kill not only Christians, but also their own people? These religious leaders sit by and say nothing and do nothing. It is a reminder that in the '30s, no one spoke up about the Nazi regime and what they were doing to the Jewish people.
All of this "Political Correctness" makes me wonder when people are going to speak up and stop listening to the loudmouths from Hollywood that are spouting off because they have a platform. How can anyone, with more money than they know what to do with intelligently, possibly have an inkling as to what is going on in the world? This generation seems to be listening and paying attention to the wrong people. A little common sense goes a long way.
