Liberal Opposition leader Peter Debnam in just 8 months!
In just eight months the Liberal Member for Vaucluse Peter Debnam has refused to announce positive policy or plans for NSW and has made $22 billion in unfunded promises that will bankrupt our State.
No Solutions – No Plans
In 8 months Peter Debnam has not announced a plan for NSW, he has no solutions or directions for NSW.
Bankrupting NSW
Peter Debnam has already committed over $22 billion in unfunded promises which will bankrupt NSW.
He refuses to tell NSW residents how he will pay for his commitments.
Peter Debnam will risk our AAA credit rating.
Refuses to Stand up to Canberra on Industrial Relations
Peter Debnam won't stand up for NSW’s interests.
He wants to hand over the NSW Industrial Relations System to John Howard which will hurt NSW workers and families.
Supports the GST Rip-Off
The Member for Vaucluse refuses to stand up for NSW taxpayers who are being ripped off under Peter Costello’s distribution of GST revenue.
He refuses to help get NSW a better GST deal from his Liberal mates in Canberra.
NSW pays $13.5 billion in GST to Canberra and receives $11 billion back. That’s a subsidy of $900 from every household in NSW leaving our State. NSW taxes are being sent to resource rich QLD who use the money to subsidise their petrol.
Cutting NSW's frontline services
Peter Debnam says he will cut 29,000 public servants. These slash and burn cuts to the Public Service will mean frontline workers in hospitals, schools and the police force will lose their jobs.
NSW residents will suffer with reduced services – especially in country and coastal communities under Peter Debnam’s cuts.
Out of touch – The Member for Vaucluse
As the Member for Vaucluse, Peter Debnam has shown he is out of touch.
Over the last 8 months he has proven that he doesn’t understand the pressures ordinary NSW families are going through.
Out of His Depth
At every media conference Peter Debnam shows his lack of depth on policy and government.
Every issue is met with a glib one liner and the journalists are onto him.
