it is so clear to me that most of the people here who are so busy defending their right to own and use guns they have never been an innocent victim otherwise they would have a different opinion.
It is an insult to the families of these victims to allow the sale of guns to continue .I dont think many gun owners even know one victim,
You see we are the end result of their madness.;We dont exist.
Keith tells me one of the bang boys thinks ( posted elsewhere) I dont exist and that myself was created by Keith to salt the webpage. I wish !
You see a mention of victims sends them into a tail spin.
One of them sent me an email as a prelude to threats and intimidation which I wont be replying to.
Why would I want to talk to a troll like Bilt ?
They think How could a gun be used to maim or disfigure someone or take a mothers child.?
Gun Owners are in total Denial of innocent victims.
They try to tell you that always the crime is caused by ilegal unlicenced
gun owners.
But I was shot by a legal gun owner with a Drug problem.
None of his gunfriends ever thought it was a good idea to tell the police
he wasnt suitable to own a gun. Because they couldnt give a rats arse.
How do you lead a reasonable life in a world where a lot of your fellow citizens can and do walk around armed Just like the movie ? There seem to be two possible answers: They should be disarmed, or you should be armed. If I had been I am convinced I would be dead. A third answer, implied by some gun owners, is that they should be armed but many other categories of people should not be. They never include themselves in those categories. I am reminded of my friend , who was shown a gun by a guy in a pub. "Why do you carry that?" I asked him. "I live in a dangerous area out at Fairfield," the bloke said. "It would be safer," I told him, "if you moved."
But guns are everywhere.
Australia needs to find the money for the final gun buyback. "It is true gun control is not cheap. But neither is gun violence.
Gunowners are forgetting the huge costs many of us have paid for inadequate gun control and the failed existing gun laws.
There should be no more private ownership of any gun of any sort in Australia.
