I was horrified to see the footage of demonstrators trying to rip the Olympic Games flame from the hands of that beautiful little girl in France. A day that should have been one of the most memorable and fantastic days of her life has just become a nightmare. All because a group of people supposedly old enough to know better decided to use her dream moment to make a statement about some political event she no doubt has never even heard of. Shame on you! It is about time the adults grew up and had a little respect for their children. Yes Tibet was invaded a long time ago but so has every other country been at some stage in its history. Your country is exactly what you represent it to be. Just as recently we were embarrassed to be Australians so too should those Tibetans be cringing right now! What has happened to Tibet is past history. Leave it in the past and do something about creating a safer and more peaceful homeland. Where ever that homeland may be right now. Events like the Olympic Games are opportunities for us to learn to get along and put an end to these injustices once and for all. If the adults can?t play together how on Earth can our children stand a chance of living a peaceful and safe life. After her most terrifying experience today at the hands of ?a spiritual protestor? there is at least one little girl who shall have no sympathy for the suffering Tibetans. One grownup too, Me! Shame on YOU!

Any attempt to politicize the Olympics and encroach upon China's sovereignty and integrity is doomed to fail: it is both a provocation against the charters of the Olympic Games and a challenge to all people who love peace and the Olympic spirit.
