Found this and dragged it back, does anyone know is a similiar system exists in Australia whereby "care" packages can be made up and sent to our people "over there".

I'll be upfront here first of all. My belief is that we these days face what is probably the third totalitarian challenge of our times. Those who use terrorism to support an agenda that is the very antithesis of my beliefs in freedom and progress.
The less nasty dictators like Saddam, and the less regimes we have like the Taliban, the better place the world will be.
Yes, Australia does it's bit, and so does the UK, but ninety something percent of the load and casualties are the US miliary, and the US Army in particular.
I visit Military.com, and MilBlogs - in large part to inform myself better. I also found the 'Adopt-a-Platoon' site. They give ways to support the troops, including care packages.
You may like to visit the sites. I would be interested in your thoughts, maybe we could do something, and see what we could do for the UK and Aussie troops in theatre as well.
Many of us here are ex-military. I think we know what the troops would and wouldn't like.
What are your views?

If such a system doesn't already exist in Australia, why the bloody hell not!
How about some of our media members pushing to establish such a system or advertising it if such a system exists.
