China A Strange 'Communism" ?
Posted April 14th, 2008 by Anonymous
8 0 million live on $ 1 day at "official "poverty levels, creating more than 500,000 Millionaires.
Many of these patriotic millionaires are party members and supporters of the party's aim to build a 'harmonious socialist society" so they are in partnership with the "communists" who manage the state so as to ensure profitability for them.
Result :Eighty million in official "abject "poverty level this is about equal to the entire population of Germany.
In time we are assured by these party socialists eventually the economic development will have the famous capitalist "trickle down effect" in China as in the third world , as every supporter of capitalist development , free trade and "market socialism" knows.
Of course the people will have to battle to survive the environmental effects of this export of goods and exploited profits "socialist" economy first.
And there is a bit of a problem in saving for old age security, as investing money in the bank gets only about 4% ininterest ,while inflation runs at an official level of nearly 8%.The prospects of a future of "harmonious society" is getting a bit strained.
If you earn $1.01 a day this glorious 'Communist" party will claims now to have lifted you out of poverty and not so entitled to government charitable subsidies as those in "official" poverty. This clearly demonstrates the great " humanitarian" concern for the people by the party.
Luckily they say for the Chinese People the Glorious "communist Party saved China from The Maoist Gang of Four egalitarian criminals and took the "Theory of the Productive Forces " road of Deng (1)that road of building "socialism" so that 'some could get rich first" .
This is a very strange way to build a classless socialist society ,someday in the never -never distant future ,by first building capitalism and putting industry into the hands of a new capitalist class.
Communists traditional practice was to slowly but determinably break down the differences between classes and people, the first step being to take industry -the means of production - and distribution out of the hands of the capitalist class.
Marx long ago pointed out that the rich create the poor and the poor create the rich.
BEIJING, April 13 (Xinhua)
"The Chinese government is
mulling to lift the benchmark poverty line from the current
1,067 yuan (152 U.S. dollars) to 1,300 yuan (185 U.S.
dollars), according to a notice issued by the Poverty
Alleviation Office under the State Council over the weekend.
In the notice, the office solicited opinions and
suggestions from 26 of its subsidiaries nationwide on the
plan.
The per-capita annual income of 1,300 yuan allows a real purchasing power of one U.S. dollar per day in China, which would for the first time make the level of China's poverty in line with the international standard.
Once the new criteria adopted, China's impoverished
population would be doubled to 80 million, according to
experts.
China has measured the poverty standard in line with changes of per-capita income. The low-income level was 1,067 yuan a year in 2007 and that for abject poverty was pinned at 785 yuan (112 U.S. dollars) and less per year. "
In passing:
Socialism in china works Just like capitalism in South Africa. But at least is South Africa the ANC bosses don't yet hypocritically wear a communist label.
Bloomberg reports
"South Africa's billionaire club is growing fast. This
year there are nine new billionaires - on the Sunday
Times Rich List.
Phuthuma Nhleko, Sifiso Dabengwa, Rob Nisbet and Irene
Charnley from cellular operator MTN are among them,
while mining magnate Patrice Motsepe is now the
third-richest man in the country - ahead of Johann
Rupert.
The sustained bull run on the JSE means there are a
total of 28 billionaires, who hold a combined fortune of
R118-billion.
Other billionaires are Abe Krok, through his holding in
gaming and entertainment company, Gold Reef Resorts; and
Tokyo Sexwale, chairman of investment and mining group,
Mvelaphanda.
Jannie Mouton, executive chairman of financial services
company PSG Group; Koos Bekker, chief executive of media
giant Naspers; and Peter Malungani, founder of
investment holding company Peu Investment Group are the
other newcomers."
They poor are still waiting for the capitalist trickle down effect in South Africa too but the "Free Market" is surely soon to deliver this here as in China?
