i think that it would be a violation of individual rights to ban
such parties. there are specific requirements any party must
meet in order to register. if there are enough individuals to put
a single issue party together, then so be it. i might not like their
views, but there is no difference between, say, a green party
and a christian party.
you cannot separate religion and politics. politics deals with moral issues
as well as practical ones. a person's religion, if they are religious,
informs their moral positions, whether they are in a "religious" party or
not. and a non-religious person has their own philosophy to inform their
moral positions.
governments don't have the right to limit what a person cares about.
a christian prayer at the start, however, is stupid - not all
parliamentarians are christians - but "we shall now pray to god" is not
neutral either - i'm sure there are some agnostics and atheists in the mix.
how about an undertaking to represent the people who elected them to the
best of their ability

The opening prayer in federal parliment mentioms " GOD "
It already is nuetral , it does not mention jesus or any religion
It justs asks for GODS blessings
The word GOD is exactly the same word as Allah in arabic , muslims are
happy to use either as they mean exactly the same thing
Muslims would have a problem if the prayer was made to JESUS
