You are right Mi Amigo, and shame on me for not passing by and putting in my 2 shillings worth.
So much is happening here in Europe, funerals of old radio friends, celebrations of radio events, my newly found daughter and her family (takes up all my spare time, they are so excited finding me, poor sods), and thensome.
My bloody computer, bought a new laptop back in the Winter, to use on Broadband and speed up my trips around the www and the blooming thing will not let me online. Dell are helping me sort it, in every other aspect it works perfectly, but show it an internet connection, and, whoa, it freaks like a Rabbi spotting a Pork Schnitzel at a Jewish Wedding (Christians like me should not say such things like that, but, hey, my daughter and my grandchildren are Jewish. so, what the heck)
Therfore, I'm still using this poor old soldier I built 7 years ago, running 24/7 (if I turn it off it will never reboot) with its side panels removed, Windows 98 OS and a dial up connection via a Modem that has its own ideas as to how long I stay online.
It is funny though, and I laugh and wonder what folks would say of my PC set up, but, it works, and getting your message I made the old girl look up our old mates in Oz. Fair play to the old bird, we were in, using your link, in a minute, beats me by a countrymile trying to link within the UK.
Hope all is well mate, I'm on Facebook a lot, I have a page there which I use as a permanent base in the www, so, if folk need to reach me, I hope they try Facebook as it is my resource for meeting old pals.
Are you well, did Hans send you the book? Are you still reading his Radio Report?
I promise, that in the future I'll be here more frequently than I have been. Dell will try, this week, to enter my laptop via a special dial up to the laptop, and they are going to check the Registry and see if it is locked. Once I'm Pentium powered and Broadband, I'll have no excuses, but, even with the old girl, I'll keep it sweet Keith.
Hey, and thanks for remembering me mate, I owe you a very large brewski for that, and a lot more,
Hugs mate,
Don.
