Help us to help Australian Pensioners, support the pensioners Posted May 24th, 2008 by Anonymous
As seen on Today Tonight 23/05/08
Bang4Bucks Backs Aussie Pensioners!
Australia’s newest online auction site, Bang4Bucks, and its members are lending their support to battling Aussie pensioners.
Bang4Bucks is launching a series of auctions with all the proceeds going to struggling Australian pensioners.
"We’re an Aussie site, and all of our sellers are verified Aussie residents," says Bang4Bucks website owner Debbie Williams. "Aussie pensioners are our mums and dads, our aunts and uncles, and they deserve a better deal. We say that our pensioners are not the forgotten people. It’s time to stop treating them like second class citizens in the country that they helped build."
Bang4bucks.com.au sellers are donating new goods to sell online with all the funds being used to buy food vouchers for pensioners.
Bang4Bucks is going the extra mile for pensioners after Ms Williams was touched by the plight of pensioners at the recent rally in Melbourne.
"If you have a pensioner that you know, perhaps there’s someone in your street who needs help, please visit us at www.bang4bucks.com.au to tell us. We’ll put them on the register to receive a food voucher," says Ms Williams.
"And if you would like to donate items for us to auction for pensioners in need, you can also contact us through our website."
Members of the public who want to support the Aussie Pensioners Auctions can join in the action at www.bang4bucks.com.au
