The Fairfield City Wide Development Control Plan 2006 is now in force .
A comprehensive review of the DCP has been undertaken to identify any anomalies, errors or omissions within the document to identify appropriate amendments to the DCP for the improvement and clarification of the document for all users. It is proposed to undertake a comprehensive review of the DCP on an annual basis. This review represents the first of these proposed annual reviews.
Listed below is a sample of Chapters in the Fairfield City Wide DCP which contain proposed amendments:
- Introduce new sections – Chapter 3 Environmental Site Analysis - Front, Side, Rear & Corner Setbacks – Chapter 6A Multi Unit Housing - Carparking Requirements & Open Space Requirements – Chapter 6A Multi Unit Housing - Changes to Rural Development – Chapter 4 Development Principles for Rural Land - Amendments to Subdivision Frontage Requirements – Chapter 14 Subdivision

The draft amendments to the Fairfield City Wide DCP are on public exhibition for a minimum period of 28 days from the Wednesday 4 June 2008 to Friday 4 July 2008.
