Reading today about Barack Obama's speech of racial reconciliation reminds me of something from my past. One of my lasting memories from childhood - from when I was 4 or 5 years old - was the profound shock and disgust of learning for the first time that some white people were prejudiced against black people simply because of the color of their skin. I was a white boy growing up in a white neighborhood, yet racism made no sense to me, and it continues to perplex me to this day. Racial prejudice is as completely illogical as segregating people based solely on eye or hair color.
Yet your history of bigotry in Oregon in Wednesday's paper make me wince. The many stupid acts of hatred and outright violence against minority populations in this state since 1856 are truly sickening. Given the treatment of them and their forebears by the white majority, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. and other African Americans are fully justified in being angry.
The degree to which they are not is a testament to the great human capacity for forgiveness. I am hopeful that we are finally moving beyond the lunacy of racism. The candidacy of the brilliant Barack Obama might be an indicator of real change in this country. I am so hopeful.

So I am now to believe from the second post of The FLASH in the pan above that Obama is a closet Muslim and he will destroy the USA Economy and take the USA to wars for no valid reason and lecture the world about how wonderful the USA system of government is.
Sorry FLASH but that is what a Christian President does.
